Oracle DBA
Do you know relational databases (Oracle,
Sybase, SQL, etc.) and have experience as a developer or a DBA?
Do you enjoy building applications using client/server development
languages (Delphi, Visual Basic, etc.). Do you have software project
management or business analysis experience? Do you have web development
or E-commence expertise?
Work Environment
- Most of our clients are based in the
NYC area with many in the financial industry.
- Most of our projects are web-based
and involve trading/banking applications or database systems.
Job Description
- Database administration of Oracle 8
databases.
- Use Oracle tools to monitor and tune
databases.
- Physical Database design, Data structures.
- PL/SQL, Tune SQL, Use triggers, stored
procedures, parallel queries.
- Case tools, generate database objects.
- Shell scripting using PERL.
- Support Front-end & Reports developers.
Job Requirements
- Five years overall DBA experience with
at least THREE years as an Oracle DBA.
- Strong communication skills (frequent
client site work).
- Experience in financial industry strongly preferred.
